After Forever ''resumo''

 After Forever foi originalmente formada em 1995 sob o nome Apocalypse, seu gênero era orientado ao death metal. Com a entrada da vocalista Floor Jansen em 1997, o estilo da banda mudou em disposição a dar ênfase para sua voz. Até aquele momento a banda era composta por Floor Jansen, Mark Jansen, Sander Gommans, Luuk van Gerven, Jack Driessen e Joep Beckers. Em 1999 a banda começou a compor canções próprias e gravaram duas demos - intituladas Ephemeral e Wings of Illusion - que enventualmente chamaram atenção da gravadora Transmission Records, que assinou contrato com a banda.
